Get children singing

So, in the blog –   we spoke about New Year’s Resolution #1 – Get your children singing at least once per day.

There will be many teachers who don’t feel confident in this at all.  Believe me, I am no musician, but I fully believe in the power of music to transform children’s lives.

There is something special about music, about singing together, or playing instruments together.  Sport is important, but there is something different about a choir, orchestra or other musical group playing together in a non-competitive way.

So, here is a place to start building a resource bank for both the musically confident and the musically challenged amongst us.

Send your ideas and I’ll include everything that looks good.

Here’s a starter for 10:

  • Start by exploring the Singup Website – http://www.singup.org/ – you can start by using the free resources, but I’d thoroughly recommend signing up – what better way to spend a music budget. (“There is no budget” I hear you say. – Click here for support in that area.
